Early 18" Smiths Electric Clock

£0.00
Out of Stock

Stunning earlier example of the iconic industrial wall clock by Smiths English Clock Systems. c.1930

Surviving in amazing condition, this clock pre-dates the 1937 switch over to the Sectric branding; this paired with it's larger diameter and spaded hands make it a very scarce find. The 18" dial has a wonderful patina and 'ghosting' of the hands, presumably where they stopped when it was removed. It was rescued by an enthusiast around 25 years ago when Southend Pier was being renovated. Rewired and running on the original 240v motor.
