A quality and rare example of a large antique ships search light by lighting manufactures Ediswan. c.1890

An incredible piece of engineering, comprising of heavy cast iron with detailed brass hardware, copper drum reflector housing and original convexed glass lens. Completely overhauled, polished and rewired for your convenience. Can be rotated at the base and angled on a vertical axis. Makers mark to underside of main section and knob adjustments. Edison light bulb with E27 adapter included. (Original bulb available upon request)

About the maker
The Edison and Swan Electric Light Company Limited was an English manufacturer of incandescent lamp bulbs and other electrical goods. It was formed in 1883 with the name Edison & Swan United Electric Light Company with the merger of the Swan United Electric Company and the Edison Electric Light Company. The Swan catalogue from 1883 displays the number and types of lamps available. The catalogue lists more than 100 houses and other buildings and 25 ships all lit by Swan's lamps.
