Large Copper ITR Industrial Clock
A large industrial copper clock by the International Time Recording Company, London. c.1930
Beautiful polished spun copper surround with slight yellowed dial, gothic-esque numerals and original hands. An incredibly attractive clock of larger proportions. Converted to a high torque Quartz movement for modern convenience.
About the maker
Smiths English Clock Systems Ltd entered the domestic clock market in 1931 with the earliest known examples marked with Synchronous Electrics Clocks Ltd. In 1937, the trade name Sectric was adopted and appeared on many clocks from this point. They produced clocks for the commercial, domestic and automobile market where they appeared in many factories, railways and public spaces throughout the UK.
