Near Pair of Antique French Wrought Iron Table Lamps

£450.00

A wonderful near pair of handmade iron table lamps. French, c.1920

Hand‑forged during the interwar period, each lamp is built in heavy wrought iron with crisp scrollwork and disciplined Deco‑era lines. The frames carry cast gilt foliate details, applied as small highlights against the blacksmith‑made structure - a combination typical of French fer forgé ateliers of the 1920s and ’30s. The iron has a deep, honest patina, and the proportions have that tall, architectural stance associated with early electric lighting. The rectangular wooden bases anchor the design without distracting from the metalwork. A strong, decorative near pair from the height of French ironwork’s revival. Priced as a near pair.

Rewired with 2m of black round flex and BS 3-pin plug.
