A vintage Holts ‘Traditional Ales’ pub sign. c.1950
A well‑presented Holts Traditional Ales sign housed in its original black‑painted cast‑aluminium frame, showing attractive age and paint flake to the surface. The lettering and key motif are executed in reserved painted glass, set over a moulded fibreglass backing to give the design its distinctive three‑dimensional depth. The colours remain strong, with the gold and red elements contrasting crisply against the dark frame.
A characterful and highly decorative mid‑century pub sign with excellent graphic presence and honest, original wear.
